Solar Activity, Sun-Weather Relationship
Scientific paper
The hydrological time series can be used as guides of tendency and cyclic variation of climate. Although the climatic variability mechanisms are not totally understood, the solar activity variations can be associated with regional hydrometeorological variables. The water resources availability is becoming an urgent problem as the human pressure rises in water demand. The knowledge of hydroclimatic variables tendencies as the relationship between our activities and the quantity and quality of ground and surface resources, is an essential step in the formulation of a sustainable water resources management plane. The major purpose of this study is to use it as a starting point to assess and predict soil water availability and understand its connections with the solar variability.
