The present paper deals with the development of an analytical model for use in describing the attitude motion of a rigid spacecraft which is being subjected to meteoroid impacts. The model consists of nine simultaneous linear algebraic equations, six of which are produced via Kane's formulation of the theory of impulsive motions, while the other three are obtained from two assumptions that are made concerning the elastic properties of the meteoroid-spacecraft interaction. A procedure is given for simulating the motion of a spacecraft which is undergoing bombardment by a shower of meteoroids, and a numerical example is provided for illustrative purposes.
