The effective temperatures of stars of classes O9-A0 were determined on the basis of a comparison between the mean energy distributions in their spectra and the data of atmospheric models in the plane-parallel approximation. Good agreement was found between the observations and calculations for these stars while radiation excesses were found in the regions of the Balmer and Paschen continua for supergiants. The observed energy distributions in the spectra of hot O-B main sequence stars were compared with the data of models without an LTE assumption, and the observed energy distributions in the spectra of hot B supergiants were compared with the data of models of static extended atmospheres. Good agreement between theoretical and observational results was found in both cases.
