Scientific paper
"Effective" solar activity indices based on the laws of variations of
the short-wavelength ultraviolet solar radiation fluxes are proposed. It
is shown that the use of such indices leads to more accurate results in
connection with calculations of the state of the ionosphere over a wide
range of activity levels.
