Effect of the feedback on the galaxy formation is investigated using cosmological simulations. First, we implement cosmological N-body/Hydrodynamic simulation including effects of metal enrichment and metal line cooling. The simulations also include evolution of a mean atomic weight due to metal enrichment and its effect on the equation of state. Owing to the additional cooling effects a global star formation rate is enhanced about 10-20 at z 3. In contrast the total galaxy mass function does not significantly differ between the simulations with and without a metal cooling. It suggests that the enhanced star formation rate at high redshift does not result from the increase mass accretion to galaxy from IGM but result from efficient conve rsion from ISM to stars. Consequently, simulated galaxies with metal cooling tent to be gas poorer than those without metal cooling.
Second, we present cosmological simulation results with new star formation model. The new star formation prescription uses the pressure criterion instead of the casual density criterion. We show the difference of two methods in cosmological simulation.
