Brightness distribution of compact radio sources was used to calculate
the delay and fringe rate produced by the source structure, and MK III
VLBL data were used to calculate the effect of the source structure on
the precision of the baseline measurement. For a 8000-km baseline, the
effect can sometimes reach an order of centimeters.
