Mesoscale TIDS in the F-region in the Tbilisi region during 1980-1984 were investigated at three vertical-sounding stations. It is shown that diurnal-seasonal variations in the predominant motion of these TIDs were determined by neutral winds; the disturbances propagated predominantly against or across the wind. Diurnal and semidiurnal tidal winds are shown to make the main contribution to the diurnal variations of the mesoscale-TID velocity.
