The effect of ion-ion correlations on the free-free photoabsorption process is investigated. While the quantum correlation effects are negligible, classical Debye correlations reduce the free-free absorption cross section by about 3 percent in the center of the sun. This decreases the solar free-free Rosseland mean opacity by about 1.6 percent.
