Scientific paper
Known cases of eclipsing binaries, the period changes of which can be explained by orbiting a common mass center with a third body, are reviewed. Only three systems, where the third-body periods are shorter than 4 years, are considered certain. In 12 other cases the light-time effect gives a fair explanation of their O-C plots, however, lacking other proofs of the third-body presence, they can be treated as probable cases only. Some parameters of these triple and multiple systems are discussed.
