Any understanding of the evolution of groups and their members, which ultimately means the evolution of all galaxies, cannot be complete without detailed studies at X-ray wavelengths, that probe the properties of the IGM and the interplay between galaxies, ISM and IGM. We propose here to observe two groups, NGC 4756 and NGC 5328, selected because representative of two accretion scenarios, hence of different evolutionary paths. We aim at determining 1) the role of the hot IGM in regulating star-formation and 2) quantifying when and how sub-structures and early-type members evolve their own X-ray halo.
