The Ultra-Violet/Optical Telescope (UVOT) is one of three telescopes flying on the Swift satellite. The UVOT provides observations in the 170-600 nm range in both imaging and photon counting modes. Observations are made in three UV filters, three optical filters (U, B, & V), an UV grism, and an optical grism. Based on these observations, we present early science results from the UVOT including a brief discussion of "dark" bursts, early-time light curves, and the light curve of SN 2005am.
