The Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey (GOODS) is a multi-observatory program which is collecting the deep, extensive multiwavelength data for two fields totalling 320 square arcmin, using NASA's Great Observatories (Spitzer, Hubble, and Chandra) plus many other large ground-based telescopes. It is designed to provide a rich, non-proprietary dataset of imaging and spectroscopy covering the electromagnetic spectrum, optimized for studying the evolution of galaxies over most of cosmic time. Here, we report early results from the GOODS Spitzer Space Telescope Legacy Program, which will obtain the deepest imaging with that facility at 3.6 to 24 microns. We concentrate on early analysis of the properties of high redshift galaxies, active galactic nuclei, and the extragalactic background light.
