Using numerical simulations and a variety of initial conditions, we studied the evolution of young globular clusters. Our tree-based N-body code contains a novel implementation of algorithmic regularization to treat close encounters between stars. The results show that young globular clusters retain memory of their initial conditions, predominantly in the form of coherent orbital motion of stars in their halos. We investigate the possibility of determining these initial conditions with observations of young globular clusters in the Large Magellanic Cloud.
