The post-starburst ``E+A'' galaxies, especially those dominated by the A star component, have strong Balmer jumps and blue continua. They have unique broad-band colors and thus can be selected from the multicolor photometry of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We present deep imaging and spectroscopy of several ``E+A'' galaxy candidates found from the first light data of the SDSS. One of these has one of the strongest A-star spectrum ever seen in a non-emission-line galaxies. Most of those galaxies lie in the field, outside of clusters or rich groups. We present fits of their spectra to population synthesis models consisting of a recent (≲ 1 Gyr) starburst event and a passive evolving old population.
