An interactive method is presented for solving the kinematic dynamo equations which takes into account corrections of order higher than those considered in the first-order smoothing approximation. Although the results are quite complex, the use of a two-scale approximation allows a considerable simplification, so that a closed form for the regeneration term can be found. The method is then applied to a turbulent model velocity field.
