We present aperture synthesis observations of HI (21 cm) line radiation toward the Perseus molecular cloud complex, obtained with the aperture synthesis telescope of the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO). Comparison of the HI maps to existing CO maps of the dense cloud complex demonstrates a clear relationship between the molecular and the atomic components. There is a general atomic halo surrounding the molecular cloud, perhaps taking the form of a general outflow. The HI structure is clearly seen to have been affected by recent star formation activity. This work was carried out in part at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, under contract with NASA.
