The UV passbands of the Transition Region and Coronal Explorer (TRACE; 170 nm, 160 nm, 155 nm, respectively) sample the low chromosphere. Quiet-sun regions display brightness patterning much like Ca II H &K, including internetwork grains akin to the so-called K2v grains. We demonstrate this pattern correspondence with simultaneous TRACE and La Palma data, study and we Fourier-analyze high-cadence TRACE image sequences to obtain power, coherence and phase difference spectra, separately for network and internetwork.
