For two well observed clusters of galaxies, Coma and Hydra I, theoretical surface density distributions are proposed which follow closely the observed distributions. These are either a generalized Hubble profile or a two component model with exponentially decreasing density. The corresponding spatial density distributions and radial velocity distributions are derived. In order to account for the increase of the velocity dispersions towards the cluster centers anisotropic velocity distributions with a varying degree of anisotropy are adopted. In the cluster core one has to assume nearly isotropic velocities while further out the distribution becomes increasingly anisotropic. The observations constrain possible models to non-isothermal ones.
