The data from simultaneous measurements on board three polar satellites (Cosmos-900 and 1067, Intercosmos-19) are used to study the features of penetrations of solar greater than 1 MeV protons and greater than 30 keV electrons in the earth's magnetosphere during the strong magnetic storm on April 3, 1979. The variations of the geomagnetic field structure due to the asymmetry of the storm-time ring current are studied. The data on the solar proton penetration boundary are compared with the data on the greater than 30 keV magnetospheric electron precipitation regions and on the outer radiation belt of greater than 300 keV electrons.
