The paper presents a numerical simulation of the dynamics of the concentration of different chemical components in an artificially ionized region in the atmosphere; these components are known to lead to the formation or the destruction of ozone in the artificially ionized region. It is shown that the relative local decrease in the ozone content in the vertical column of the atmosphere caused by the microwave-discharge effect does not exceed a value of about 0.001 in the ecologically worst case of low altitudes and intense gas heating; this value is significantly below natural fluctuations of this parameter in the atmosphere.
