Scientific paper
The paper examines the adiabatic motions of a gravitating ideal gas, the velocity of which is a linear function of the coordinate system and which, with constant density, occupies an ellipsoid. Oscillations of gas motion are studied in the case of strong compression and a high level of negative energy of the gas. Also studied is the oscillatory regime of the expansion of the rotating gas ellipsoid into vacuum, with and without gravitational interaction among gas particles.
