In this talk I will talk about Barred Galaxies. Orbit calculations and gas flow will be compared, in particular in the context of the formation of rings in certain types of bars, and why they are formed. Some part of the talk will also be spent on exactly how the calculations were done within the framework of the NEMO Stellar Dynamics Toolbox, including (time, space and hardware permitted) and live demo.
