We present R-band observations of candidate wakes associated with five galaxies in A2029. The shapes of the wakes are very similar to the results of Weinberg's 1989 numerical simulations (MNRAS 239 549). We can use the wakes' characteristics (luminosity, size, curvature, local diffuse light level) and the parent galaxies' characteristics (luminosity, radial velocity) to constrain the parent galaxies' mass and transverse velocity with N-body simulations. We also present results of an analysis of the diffuse light in two binary nucleus clusters. Diffuse light has previously been measured in some cD galaxies to supply up to one third of the total cluster light. With two clusters having two distinct but interacting central galaxies, we will address the issue of diffuse light separate from the halos of these galaxies. The results of this analysis have direct bearing on cluster evolution models which suggest that cD galaxies and their large-scale envelopes are formed by mergers.
