The hyperbolic encounter between a softened pointlike satellite and a pure (no halo) self-gravitating disk is studied. This work is a continuation of two previous papers, in which slower (circular and parabolic) encounters were studied. The parameter dependence of the satellite's energy loss in the passage was found to agree with the impulsive approximation within a factor between 0.3 and 1.9.
