Scientific paper

Three outbursts of the star (α1950 = 3h48m9, δ1950 = 25°15'8) in 1970, 1972 and 1977 were found during the observations of flare stars in the region of the Pleiades cluster. In the minimum light the magnitude of the star m > 21.5. It was assumed that the star may be of U Gem type. For confirmation of that assumption all photographic plates for the period 1947 - 1987 were examined. As a result 12 outbursts were found. The average recurrence time during the observations in 1963 - 1977 is about 330 days, maximal amplitude of outbursts >6m. Narrow outbursts and periods of standstills more than 40 days are observed. New observational data show that the star is a dwarf nova of UGSU subtype.
