It is shown that dwarf M stars can be an important source of enriching the interstellar medium with He-3. The crucial assumption of this suggestion is that flares on dM stars are similar to solar flares. In particular, the material ejected by the flares is enriched in He-3, as observed recently in solar flares. By combining conservative estimates on the space density of flare stars, the rate of mass ejection, and the time scale for removing the interstellar gas, the He-3/H ratio in the interstellar medium is found to be in the range from 0.00007 to 0.002.
