Dust in galaxies strongly affects various physical properties, such as the star formation rate. To investigate what kind of dust production is dominant at each stage of galaxy formation, we constructed a galaxy evolution model which takes into account the age and metallicity dependence of the sources of dust. The evolution of dust in a galaxy is always regulated by metallicity and consequently is highly non-linear.
