By means of patrol photometric and polarimetric observations of UX Ori which began in 1986 in the Crimea and Bolivia, two deep minima of brightness were recorded. During these minima a growth of the linear polarization (up to 7%) has been observed and the tendency of increasing of circular polarization (up to 1%) was noted. The analysis of the observational data showed that the main source of the polarized radiation in the deep minima is the star radiation scattered by circumstellar dust grains. On the basis of Mie's theory the optical properties of the ellipsoidal dust shells are computed for polydisperse graphite-silicate mixture of the particles and a model of Algol-type minima is constructed.
