IRAS data have revealed warm interstellar dust(T_dust_=35-50K) in the galaxy ESO 422-G028 (Hubble type E/S0). The total mass of dust in the galaxy M_dust_ = 10^6^ - 10^7^ M_sun_; its optical depth was estimated in the infrared and optical regions. Possible sources of dust heating, its spatial distribution, and possible clarification of physical conditions in the galaxy through observations are discussed.
