We wish to constrain the physical conditions in the early universe using big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) with the cosmic microwave background (CMB). We have already measured the cosmological baryon density to 9 % using D/H. The new opportunity arises because the WMAP measurement of the CMB anisotropy gives the baryon density to higher accuracy. Using this density, standard big bang nucleosynthesis (SBBN) predicts D/H to 7 % with with no free parameters, and 2 % accuracy is expected in the coming years. We intend to reduce the D/H measurement error < 5% to explore a wide range of new physics at the BBN epoch.
