The ephemeris of the Seasat satellite was computed in overlapping two revolution time spans using observations made by the combined TRANET/Geoceiver Doppler Tracking Network. The estimated accuracy of the height of the satellite is 1.5 m rms with the principal component of the error having a wavelength equivalent to the orbit period of the satellite. The principal source of the error is believed to arise from uncertainties in the earth's gravity field. For orbit fits to data spans of 24 to 48 hours, variations in atmospheric density can be expected to contribute one to two decimeter uncertainty in the height of the satellite.
