It took the American crew of Observa Dome Lab. (Jackson, Mississippi)
sjx weeks to install the dome at the 2.2 m telescope site on La Silla.
In spite of heavy winds and unfriendly weather during the first weeks,
the work was completed ahead of schedule on November 20, 1982.
