In order to study the evolution of the coherent properties of maser radiation, the Fokker-Planck equation is considered for the probability density of the electric field. It is shown that, after reaching a certain level of excitation and manifestation of nonlinear radiation effects, cosmic masers can emit in a coherent radiation regime. Within the framework of this hypothesis it is found that the linewidth of the individual maser components varies as the inverse of the square root of the radiation intensity. This is in good agreement with the observations of Mattila et al. (1985).
