Csizmadia and Klagyivik (2004) have published an extensive survey of the light curve solutions for contact binary stars. Data for starspots were plotted with longitude and colatitude. The data suggests that starspots on contact binary stars tends to avoid longitudes near 180 degrees. These results are discussed.
