New technology has transformed traditional planetariums into interactive immersive digital full-dome theaters capable of taking audiences anywhere through space and time. We have data showing that these new experiences are more effective than flat videos in teaching astronomy and earth science concepts. With recent technology innovations, these immersive experiences can also be offered in portable planetariums or in small theaters, reaching communities that cannot support an IMAX theater or major planetarium. A partnership with a software company now allows us to package this experience as a "dome on a desk". Join us for a peek into the future of immersive digital theater.
