H Ii Regions, Galaxies: Individual: Ngc 4395, Ngc 5194, Galaxies: Abundances
Scientific paper
Using CCD observations in the narrow band filters in Hα , Hβ , [O Ii], [O Iii], [S Ii] and [S Iii] lines we have compiled a catalogue of 338 H Ii regions for the inner parts of NGC 5457 and 158 for NGC 4395. The extinction, equivalent widths, distributions, excitations, ionization hardness, ionization parameters and metallicities for these regions, a distinction being made between arm and inter-arm zones, are presented here with the first results of a study of stellar formation. Tables 3 to 8 are only available in electronic form at the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or via http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/qcat?J/A+A/391/809
