Plagioclases from a Labrador anorthosite have ratios >1000 but this does not delimit a possible parental material. Other trace element ratios support (1960) geological subdivision of the anorthosite. Poor correlation between ratios and per cent K may result from varying amounts of phases co-existing with plagioclase, loss of exsolved K-feldspar, or regionally prevailing P-T conditions.
