The clear Galactic area known as Baade's window is investigated by means of H2O and CO observations with an IR photometer spectrometer to statistically group the sample of objects. An intrinsic spread in the colors and CO and H2O indices of the sources is argued to cause the significant spread in the JHK diagram for this region. The stars with strong CO bands are interpreted as disk stars, and the CO-weak stars are considered Galactic bulge members.
