Scientific paper

Following a brief comparative review of the magnetospheres of earth and Jupiter, some current work on analysis and interpretation of Pioneer 10/11 observations at Jupiter is sketched. The topics selected are (1) distribution of high energy electrons and inferences therefrom, (2) diffusion coefficients, (3) the magnetodisc, (4) recirculation of energetic particles, and (5) the magnetotail.
