The distortion of polar trajectories (for phi = a constant plane) of particles moving around a black hole embedded in a gravitational field is investigated. A circular trajectory is found for a zero value of the gravitational field parameter (k), while for nonzero k values the circular orbit is shown to become oval in shape under the influence of the gravitational field. The degree of distortion of the orbit is found to increase as k is increased from k = 0 to k = 0.03, 0.06, 0.1, and 0.15. It is noted that the gravitational field considered here does not distort equatorial orbits.
