It is shown that a corona may be formed around star clusters by the irregular forces of the star field in which the clusters are embedded. This process is found to be effective only for open star clusters. An analysis is performed which indicates that some of the cluster stars will escape to the general star field and others will migrate to the corona when the central body in an open cluster disintegrates and that the cluster corona will be a moving cluster for a cosmogonically long time after complete disintegration of the central body. It is concluded that the Galactic disk is composed to a large extent of many interpenetrating moving clusters.
