We study the dynamic behavior of magnetic flux elements in the quiet solar network using high--resolution magnetograms observed with the Michelson Doppler Imager on board SOHO. We track concentrations of magnetic flux in uninterrupted time sequences spanning 20 to 45 hours in order to study the dispersal of magnetic elements in the turbulent photospheric flows. We measure the displacements and derive average speeds as a function of time. The displacements are compared to a random walk model.
