This is the summary of the discussion on the formation of disks around Be and B[e] stars with the aim to isolate a common mechanism. The role of the rotation versus the bi-stability hypothesis is debated with the fact that the disk may be in contact or not with the central star. The possibility of having a dense but mostly neutral equatorial region is also discussed as well as the role of the magnetic field, the binarity and the variability of B[e] disks.
