We report the detection of highly coherent 619 Hz oscillations in four thermonuclear X-ray bursts from the accreting neutron star 4U 1608-52 using the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer. The four bursts showing oscillations all exhibit photospheric radius expansion, while most bursts from this source without oscillations do not. The oscillations occur exclusively in the cooling tails, with amplitudes of 3%-11% (rms). 4U 1608-52 exhibits the highest frequency oscillations yet observed from any source.
