The model considered by Barreto et al. (1989) to study the heat conduction and photon processes in the collapse of a radiating spherical system is further developed. The spherical body is divided into two regions: the core, modeled with a nonadiabatic fluid that can produce radiation, and the envelope of dust and radiation that surrounds the core. The effective adiabatic index, the shear, and the temperature are analyzed for the heat conduction and the photon diffusion limits.
