Scientific paper

The paper examines diffusion of radiation in two moving gaseous clouds both composed of two-level atoms, but with different absorption coefficients, different optical thicknesses in the center of the line and different temperatures. Systems of integral equations are obtained in the one-dimensional approximation for source functions and the intensity of outgoing radiation. The discussion is relevant to the study of such media as the atmospheres of binary stars, interstellar clouds, and H I and H II regions in planetary nebulae.
