An analysis of the vertical and temporal dependences of the expansion
velocity and the diffusion coefficient of meteor trails is given. An
exponential increase of the expansion velocity with height, a decrease
of the turbulent diffusion coefficient with height, and a decrease of lg
D toward the morning hours are found.
