While theory predicts that diffuse hot gas is common in dwarf galaxies,
the observational evidence is only based on a few cases. This
contribution summarises some new observational results concerning
diffuse hot gas in dwarf galaxies and especially the links between hot
gas production, outflows, hot halos, and chemical evolution.
