The paper considers a solar model with constant mass constructed on the basis of the theory of differentially rotating gaseous polytropes. Structure parameters and related quantities, characterizing a solar model and computed by numerical methods, are compared with their respective values obtained when the central densities of the configurations of the model are assumed equal. It is concluded that a star adjusts itself by a change in the pressure constant and the central density; it is suggested that the interrelated changes in the pressure constant, the central density, the reduction factor, and the polytropic index be considered in order to describe certain complicated evolutionary tracks on the H-R diagram.
