We have measued the diameters of the Cepheid variables δ Cep (19 nights) and η Aql (7 nights) with the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer (NPOI). We report the mean limb-darkened diameters of the cepheids and the limb-darkened diameters of the check stars β Lac and 12 Aql. Pulsations in the cepheids are detected at a level of 1 to 1.5σ . We discuss the visibility calibration issues and pulsation models used to asses the presence of the pulsations. The NPOI is a joint project of NRL and USNO in partership with Lowell Observatory, and is funded by the Office of Naval Research and the Oceanographer of the Navy.
